Jordan Subban of the Dornbirn Bulldogs has to end his season ahead of schedule because of an automatic suspension of two games for his third fight this season.
According to the Arbitrator and after reviewing video evidence, player Jordan Subban (#7) of Dornbirn Bulldogs, time 29:56, engaged in a fight with an opponent deemed as Fighting IIHF Rule 141.
Inclusive of all fights, was it determined that the opposing player was the instigator. Jordan Subban was deemed a willing combatant, constituting his 3rd fighting major in the 2019/20 ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga season on 27.02.2020.
Jordan Subban is suspended automatically for the ensuing ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga games, according to the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga Game Book D | Casebook -§25 Rule141-Fighting | Automatic Supplementary Discipline (DOPS) | (2) which states “If a player is assessed a fighting major for the 3rd time or more during the ERSTE BANK Eishockey Liga regular season, such player is assessed an automatic two game suspension for each additional fighting major, in addition to any other penalties assessed.”
