According to the Arbitrator and after reviewing video evidence, player Armin Preiser (#3) of spusu Vienna Capitals, time 30:18, engaged in a fight with an opponent deemed as Fighting – IIHF Rule 46.
Neither fight was it determined that the opposing player was the instigator. Armin Preiser was deemed a willing combatant, constituting his 2nd fighting major in the 2021/22 ICE Hockey League season on 03.12.2021.
Armin Preiser is suspended automatically for the ensuing ICE Hockey League game, according to the ICE Hockey League Game Book – Part D | Case Book – §16 Fighting | Automatic Supplementary Discipline (DOPS) | (1) which states “If a player is assessed a fighting major for the 2nd time during the ICE Hockey League regular season, such player is assessed an automatic one game suspension, in addition to any other penalties assessed.”
