FOUR GAMES SUSPENSION FOR NICHOLAS TRECAPELLI
Nicholas Trecapelli of S.G. Cortina Hafro got suspended for four games because of an incident demmed as a check to the head or neck.
Nicholas Trecapelli (#26) of S.G. Cortina Hafro, time 44:08, made contact with an opponent deemed as a Check to the Head or Neck, IIHF Rule 124. The video evidence was sent to the AHL Player Safety Committee (PSC), which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline – Category 3 – ‘Intentional’ – a willful purpose to injure. Incident is deemed serious in nature and is considered a willful negligence act of intent to cause injury, intending to affect the game by making illegal and/or unsuspecting contact.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the AHL PSC, player Nicholas Trecapelli (#26) of S.G. Cortina Hafro, will receive supplementary discipline under rule 124 – Checking to the Head or Neck.
On Sunday, October 20th, (#26) Nicholas Trecapelli of S.G. Cortina Hafro, was involved in an incident deemed as a check to the head, late and interference.

The attacking player, while in puck possession and skating out of his defending zone into attacking zone, dumped the puck into the attacking zone before the center red line. The defending player, (#26) Nicholas Trecapelli made a unobstructed choice to make a body check at his defending zone blue line. The incident was sent to the AHL PSC and determined supplementary discipline is required for considerations of both the check being late and directly to the head of the opposing player. It has been determined that the body check was late. A skating distance of the opposing player of half of the neutral zone from puck release to contact.

Furthermore, Nicholas Trecapelli elevated up and out with his right shoulder to make contact directly to the head of the opposing player.

This is NOT a body check. Its a dirty, cheap and disrespectful check to a unsuspecting opponent. The check lead to an apparent serious injury.
Effective immediately, Nicholas Trecapelli (#26) is suspended for 4 games.

TWO GAMES SUSPENSION FOR KEVIN KING

23.10.2019

Kevin King of S.G. Cortina Hafro got suspended for two games because of an incident deemed as a check to the head or neck.
Kevin King (#25) of S.G. Cortina Hafro, time ~61:00, made contact with an opponent deemed as a Check to the Head or Neck, IIHF Rule 124. The video evidence was sent to the AHL Player Safety Committee (PSC), which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline – Category 2 – ‘Reckless’ – a deliberate and/or dangerous action with no concern for the result, with a conscious action to provoke, through intent and a willful purpose. Injury is not the determining factor but can be considered as influential means to the decision.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the AHL PSC, player Kevin King (#25) of S.G. Cortina Hafro, will receive supplementary discipline under rule 124 – Checking to the Head or Neck.
On Sunday, October 20th, (#25) Kevin King of S.G. Cortina Hafro, was involved in an incident deemed as a check to the head.

Considering it was overtime and play was 3 on 3. The opposing team made a pass to the open side, allowing the opposing player to skate into the attacking zone for a scoring opportunity. The opposing player is considered in a natural body position for both skating and shooting and is not the cause of head contact.

The defending player, (#25) Kevin King, realizing the opposing player has open ice to the net, skated across ice to make a defensive play. Immediately before making a body check, Kevin King altered his body to put his weight on his outside (right) skate to cut into the opposing player. The weight transfer allowed Kevin King to slightly cut in to make left shoulder contact. The reason for supplementary discipline is the contact is primarily to the head of the opposing player. The responsibility is on Kevin King to make a legal (shoulder to body) check and avoid head contact. The head contact did lead to an apparent injury.

Effective immediately, Kevin King (#25) is suspended for 2 games.
