According to the Arbitrator and after reviewing video evidence, player Kevin Moderer (#74) of EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, time 25:13, engaged in a fight with an opponent deemed as Fighting – IIHF Rule 46.
Neither fight was it determined that the opposing player was the instigator. Kevin Moderer was deemed a willing combatant, constituting his 2nd fighting major in the 2022/23 ICE Hockey League season on 02.12.2022.
Kevin Moderer is suspended automatically for the ensuing ICE Hockey League game, according to the ICE Hockey League Game Book – Part D | Case Book – §16 Fighting | Automatic Supplementary Discipline (DOPS) | (1) which states “If a player is assessed a fighting major for the 2nd time during the ICE Hockey League regular season, such player is assessed an automatic one game suspension, in addition to any other penalties assessed.”
